BOSTON’S NEW VARIETY TV SHOW “617 LIVE” is a new variety show that focuses on keeping the inner and surrounding towns in touch with the local and non-local industry news and entertainment. The show will touch on various segments such as shows and concerts, special events, politics, local news, food, business profiles, etc. We will also be including exclusive footage, interviews, and promotional pieces. What makes us different? • We will be on the forefront of local entertainment news. By this we mean giving exposure to homegrown performers by providing interviews, video premiers, and live performances. There will be special segments reporting on such topics as restaurants and food spots, barbershops, clothing, and fashion, etc. • We will connect with the community. We will be an interactive program with our viewing audience. We will provide this by establishing a website http://www.The617Live.tv in which viewers will be able to leave comments on shows, request guest, suggest improvements, leave shout outs, and download previously recorded episodes. Our viewing audience will also be able to win prizes and tickets to events. • We will keep you informed by reviewing local news. Not everything that happens on our city streets is reported by our local news channels. We intend on bringing you positive stories and first hand reporting on important issues that affect your community directly. Overall, we intend on making “617 LIVE” a must see for all. Our intentions are to raise the bar on local broadcast shows by providing “industry caliber” programming. We will target all genres of ethnic cultures relating to music, news & entertainment. We are committed to excellence and aimed at success.

Singer, songwriter “Makio” was originally born in Nairobi, Kenya, on the east coast of Africa. After his senior year in high school he realized that music was his only ambition and spent time at Berklee College of Music sharpening his writing skills & learning all aspects of music. His melodic vocals, guitar skills, & stunning dance choreography created a huge buzz for him throughout New England. This buzz landed him a casting role on MTV’s Making the Band 4.
