As you know 617Live stays in touch with the industry in all aspects, and that includes the old school hip hop era. Fam IV Life Entertainment invited us out to they’re 80’s & 90’s party at the Russell Auditorium. The crowd was definitely paying it’s homage to hip hop. Dj’s were rockin all those old school jams you use to love to dance to. Wether it was the “Cabbage Patch”, the “Rockaway”, or the “Wop”, they got it in. Now you know 617Live had to bring you there with exclusive performances & interviews with hip hop legends Dana Dane & Chubb Rock in the buildin!!!
R&B Hit maker Ginuwine was in Boston recently and we caught up with him at an exclusive party given by promoter Liz Ds’tination. Rocafella’s Freeway visited Boston and made sure he hit the hood. He feels his musical origins come from the streets and no matter how large you becaome, you should never become detached from that. He visits the Internatioanl Dublin House where promoter “Boston Black” puts on a weekly open mic for local hip hop talent. This is one of the few venus which are still allowing hip hop in it’s natural form. No dress code, hats, boots, and sneakers allowed!! 617Live was there, and Freeway gave us the exclusive!!
